Due to being away for so long, I’m playing catch up with my posts. Now that I stop to think about it, I probably should have posted this before I posted the Honeymoon … it’s too late now!
On the 21st November 2017, I married my gorgeous husband, Mike. Now we did originally plan on getting married in Iceland, we even had it booked, but life happens. We decided to cancel our Icelandic wedding and book a wedding with a month to spare at our local registry office. OUR WEDDING WAS PERFECT. We had a simple ceremony with just our Mum’s there, which was more than enough for us. I bought a beautiful dress, and Mike wore a handsome suit. We stood in front of each other and spoke the vows that would tie us together or eternity. I have never felt so much love in my entire life as I did on those moments together.
We invited our immediate family to a local Italian called Quattros where we all waffled down more Italian food than you’d like to imagine. We all had a lovely time with amazing company and fantastic food. Mike was forced to give a speech, which was shorts and sweet.
After we celebrated the best day of our lives with out nearest and dearest, we headed to York. Due to booking our wedding with such short notice, we didn’t have time to plan our Honeymoon until a few months later, we still wanted the day to be as special as possible though. We booked the most EXPENSIVE hotel in York, The Grand, York, and it was so beautiful and worth every penny for the most magical day of our lives. We spent the next day in York where we explored the streets, visited the York Dungeon and even ended up a board game shop.
Well there you have it
So yeah, we got married and it was great, I loved every second of it. We’ve been married now for nearly 2 and a half years and our marriage just keeps getting better and stronger.
