In September 2019, my husband and I visited Prague to celebrate his 40th Birthday. We hadn’t been on holiday for awhile before we went here so it was definitely a needed break from the reality of everyday life.
The holiday didn’t start off great as when we got to the hotel we found out that the company we had booked with had gone into administration resulting in our booking being cancelled and money lost. We quickly had to search the internet for another hotel to stay in meaning we had to spend a lot of the money we took with us. We ended up with a great hotel in a great area and explored the streets of Prague on our way there.
We visited a few of the museums that Prague had to offer, the sex machine museum, museum of medieval torture and a sensory experience museum which were all fun and exciting. We got lost in the streets and ate incredible food, including lots of McDonald’s. We explored castle grounds, experienced the changing of the guard, walked along the Charles bridge and walked until our feet hurt.
My husband and I always go on holidays that mean early mornings and hours of walking but it’s always incredible. We always experience so much, learn so much and eat too much.
